What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • Commitment to working on campus and actively participating in face-to-face teaching, mentoring, and university service.

Preferred Qualifications
We're especially interested in candidates who bring one or more of the following:
  • Professional actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, ACAS, or FCAS).
  • Experience supporting or contributing to Society of Actuaries Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE) initiatives.
  • Knowledge of contemporary software engineering principles and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence technologies, including generative AI tools used to support software development and programming.
  • Evidence of scholarly productivity, applied research, industry engagement, or professional practice.
