Job description


Associate Application Developer

To apply and further develop the skills necessary to research, analyze, design, develop, test and implement automated applications systems which support the business needs of the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.

Participate in system design and solution development.

Assist in troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.

Collaborate with development team to achieve team delivery goals.

Required:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Current knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, program language(s) and tools, testing techniques and tools, program specification and interpretation required.
Working knowledge of systems design and analysis tools and techniques required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience required. Willingness to pursue continuing job related training and education in systems and insurance required.

Preferred: College internships, work study or similar on-the-job experience preferred.
Experience at Farm Bureau, or a similar business, in computer information technology preferred.
Note: If a candidate is not selected, an Application Developer position may be considered on the level of experience and qualifications. This is a Hybrid position working both remotely from the State of Michigan, and in the Farm Bureau Home Office located in Lansing, Michigan.

Minimum Salary: $73,008
