Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible - all while staying connected to the people around us.
This Vision Pro team is looking for Applications Engineers to help us build the next generation of features for the Photos app on the Apple Vision Pro. This team works with cutting edge AR/VR technology to create magical experiences for our customers with their most personal and cherished content. As a member of our organization you will assist us in crafting future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.
Description
You will work on Photos; a productivity app that ships with every Apple Vision Pro which allows users to experience their most personal and cherished home photos and videos in a brand new and exciting way.
You will work closely with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in AR/VR.
You will work with technologies such as RealityKit, SwiftUI and ARKit. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create an application that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/related or equivalent experience
3+ years experience in software development.
Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful.
Experience with App development concepts using frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, ARKit, ARCore
Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for spatial computing.
Ability to collaborate and work in a highly cross-functional environment.
Proficiency in an application programming language, such as Swift, Objective-C, C/C++, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with any of the following Apple technologies: SwiftUI, UIKit, ARKit, Metal, RealityKit.
Proficiency in iOS development practices.
Experience in 3D Graphics, Real Time Graphics, or 3D Math.
Experience building AR/VR apps either professionally or personally.
Interest or proficiency in UI/UX design.
Interest in photography or videography.
