* Support thermal and structural evaluations through simulation, analysis, or testing
* Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to ensure proper PCB integration, fit, and mechanical clearances
* Assist with prototype builds, lab testing, and design verification activities
* Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement discussions
* Apply best practices in electronics packaging, manufacturability, and material selection
Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* 1–5 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects accepted)
* Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
* Basic understanding of thermal principles and heat dissipation in electronic systems
* Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team-based engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications * Exposure to thermal or FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, FloTHERM, COMSOL)
* Experience with injection-molded part design
* Hands-on experience with prototyping, 3D printing, or lab testing
* Familiarity with fabrication processes such as sheet metal, machining, or injection molding
* Understanding of electronics packaging or PCB mechanical integration
Benefits Overview
TAP Engineering offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including: * Paid Time Off: 15–25 days annually based on tenure, plus 11 paid holidays (never use-or-lose)
