About Our Team

You will be a part of the Enterprise Solutions group which supports the plant floor manufacturing operations technologies including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), data contextualization, and manufacturing scheduling in the Life Sciences industry. You will support clients across the nation and globally, both on-site and remote; however, as a New England based company, we pride ourselves on our ability to serve our clients locally.
You will receive broad exposure to key aspects of modern manufacturing related to MES and level 3 plant floor operations. This team is often on the cutting edge of the industry change working in partnership with both startups and well-established manufacturing facilities building greenfield facilities, transitioning and upgrading from legacy systems, and expansion of existing facilities.
The Role
We are actively recruiting for an Enterprise Solutions Engineer III - Systems & Interfaces to join our team supporting MES and the interfaces to other systems.
You will be working to stabilize and make continuous improvements to MES functionality to meet customer requirements, with guidance and collaboration from more senior engineers. You will contribute to the design and implementation of interfaces, system functions, and reports using a variety of technologies to deliver robust solutions that support desired business outcomes.
You will have opportunities to learn from Senior and Principal Engineers and Solution Architects during development and implementation of software deliverables and peer reviews, enhancing your technical depth and problem-solving skills. As an Engineer III, you will be expected to work with increasing independence on defined tasks while actively seeking feedback, supporting team collaboration, and contributing to a positive, professional team culture.
You will be responsible for helping implement solutions ranging from Syncade BI interfaces, Syncade system installations, Syncade system migrations, or general technology configuration and coding aimed at delivering operations or reporting outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES - What You'll Do
  • Deliver positive outcomes for our customers, not just IT/OT maintenance or writing code.
  • Provide services in several of the following service areas based on your specific experience and with support from senior team members:
    • Develop and implement configurations for installs, migrations, and interfaces for Syncade MES or other Operations Management platforms.
    • Implement bug fixes in existing software
    • Assist with installation of physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems.
    • Performing tests of projects being prepared for deployment.
    • Interact with Senior and Principal Enterprise Solutions Engineers to deliver solutions:
      • Develop interfaces to and from the MES system.
    • Develop scripts and functions to augment system configuration in a variety of technologies including VBS, C#, and XSLT.
    • Support and help manage the system and its associated components throughout the lifecycle of the project.
    • Develop and maintain reports in a variety of technologies including SSRS (SQL), Crystal Reports, XSLT, and C#.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to implement solutions effectively, escalating risks and issues appropriately.
  • Contribute ideas to improve methods and techniques within your projects and share learnings with the team.
  • Provide uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated areas of responsibility.
  • Stop those work processes at any time it is believed that quality is being compromised.

QUALIFICATIONS - What You'll Bring
  • Conferred Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or the Applied Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or their scientific equivalent.
  • 4-8 years of OT or IT Systems Management, OT interface development, or related technology and coding experience; co-ops, internships, and relevant project work may be considered toward this experience range.
  • Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments.
  • A continuous learning attitude, ready to take on the next technical challenges coming our way, including but not limited to:
    • New software partners of Stellix providing MES or related functionality.
    • AI and data-driven approaches to manufacturing operations.
  • Highly organized with critical attention to detail, along with good time and priority task management.
  • Basic programming and code debugging skills, specifically VBS and C#.
  • Understanding of SQL database fundamentals and syntax.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMware or equivalent.
  • Experience interfacing with or supporting software in a Windows Server environment.
  • Experience developing or supporting web-based applications.
  • Understanding of cGMP and manufacturing operations (coursework, internships, or industry experience).

  • Secondary: VBS/VBA, C# or similar, VMware, MATLAB, SQL, LIMS (various), Reporting Systems (XSLT, Crystal Reports, SSRS), and Windows Administration
  • Related: ERP (SAP, OPM, etc.), and DeltaV

Communication, Travel, and Physical Requirements
  • Strong communication skills in two parts:
    1. Very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar.
    2. Verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English.
  • Travel is based upon projects and pursuits, but at times will require travel to client facilities in New England; occasional travel throughout the United States or globally is possible.
  • Physical demands: Lifting up to 30 lbs.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation: This position offers a base salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, based on experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for a variable compensation plan.
