Audio Intern (Post-Production)
Unpaid Internship for College/University Credit Only
Bang Zoom! Studios - Audio Post-Production
Looking to build hands-on experience in audio for anime, television, and video games?
Bang Zoom! Studios is an award-winning audio post-production studio specializing in English-language dubbing of anime and animation, as well as voice-over recording, casting, and sound design for video games, film, television, and other media.
Please note: This internship focuses on audio post-production. It is not related to music composition, scoring, or pre-production work.
Internship Eligibility & Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
This internship is structured as an educational experience tied to an academic program and is designed to align with applicable federal and state guidelines for unpaid internships.
  • This is an unpaid internship for college/university credit only
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, trade, or vocational program
  • Must receive academic credit for participation (verification may be required)
  • Priority is given to students who require an internship for graduation
  • Applications must include a cover letter (applications without one will not be considered)

Educational Purpose of the Internship
This internship provides students with practical learning experience in audio post-production within a professional studio environment. The program emphasizes training, observation, and skill development.
Interns will:
  • Gain exposure to studio workflows, audio editing processes, and production support
  • Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced audio professionals
  • Participate in supervised, educational activities that reflect real-world practices

Interns do not displace employees. Tasks and responsibilities are structured to support learning objectives and may vary by departmental needs.
Time Commitment
  • 2+ days per week (Monday-Friday)
  • 8 hours per day (coordinated with academic requirements)
  • Minimum commitment: 10-13 weeks
  • Typical hours between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (including a 1-hour meal break)
  • Multiple studio locations - reliable transportation required

What You'll Learn & Assist With
Audio & Production Exposure
  • Assisting audio, production, and support teams with supervised tasks
  • Supporting preparatory work for engineers and recording sessions
  • Observing and assisting with audio editing workflows (as appropriate)
  • Learning industry-standard tools, including Pro Tools

Studio Operations
  • Assisting with daily runs between studio locations
  • Helping maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and functionality
  • Supporting general studio readiness and operational needs

Professional Development
  • Understanding studio etiquette, workflow, and collaboration
  • Building time management and organizational skills
  • Receiving constructive feedback and mentorship

Who You Are
  • Currently enrolled student seeking academic credit
  • Interested in audio post-production for film, TV, animation, or games
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Pro Tools or similar DAW
  • Professional, dependable, and able to follow direction
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a studio setting
  • Interest in anime or Japanese culture is a plus
