Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships.ย 

Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for up to 180-days.ย ย 

We're hiringย Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for our DOD SkillBridge Fellowshipย that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.ย ย 

ย Responsibilities:ย 

  • EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.ย 

  • Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.ย 

  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.ย 

  • Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.ย 

  • EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.ย 

  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.ย 

Other Responsibilities:ย 

  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.ย 

MinimumRequired Qualifications:ย 

  • Current Active-Duty Service Memberย 

  • Meets DoDย SkillBridgeย Qualificationsย 

  • Available toย participateย 90-days.ย 

  • Obtain approval from your unit commander and agree that participation inย SkillBridgeย can beย terminatedย at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate.ย 

  • Work remotely in the continental USย 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)ย 

  • State EMT Licenseย (as applicable)

  • State Driver's Licenseย 

  • BLS, NREMTย 

  • Driving record compliant with company policyย 

  • Pass Physical Agility Testย 

  • Some work experience, preferably healthcareย
