Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated R&D assistant to support our Research & Development team in a fast-paced private label food and powdered supplement manufacturing environment. This role will assist with product development trials, batching and mixing activities, documentation, and sample preparation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in food manufacturing, formulation, and scale-up processes within a GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with weighing, batching, and mixing ingredients for product trials.
  • Support R&D team during bench, pilot, and production trials.
  • Prepare samples for internal review, customers, and stability testing.
  • Document formulas, batch records, and trial results accurately.
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the R&D lab and storage areas.
  • Assist in ingredient staging and inventory tracking for trials.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and safety procedures.
  • Support special R&D or continuous improvement projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
    • Food Science.
    • Nutrition.
    • Chemistry.
    • Chemical Engineering.
    • or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic math skills for weighing and measurements.
  • Interest in food manufacturing or product development.
  • Ability to lift up to [30โ€“50 lbs] and work in a lab/pilot plant environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Prior internship or lab experience.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or food safety environments.
  • Experience with spreadsheets or basic data recording.
