Job description

AWS Payments and Fraud Prevention is hiring a PMT-ES to define and drive large-scale, cross-company initiatives that shape the future of AWS's payment infrastructure. As one of AWS's foundational services, Payments and Fraud Prevention manages the complete payment lifecycle for AWS customers: providing accurate financial information, ensuring efficient collection and disbursement, and protecting AWS and its customers from fraud-related damage.
In this role, you will tackle problem spaces that impact the full breadth of AWS services and drive the next wave of strategic growth for the company. You'll focus on long-term deliverables with the opportunity to deliver projects of broad scale and scope

As a member of the product team working across multiple initiatives, you'll collaborate with a group of product leaders and be expected to help solve problems that span multiple business groups.
You'll learn complex technical systems and their interconnections while building relationships across multiple business leaders. You dive deep into problems with data and draft persuasive working-backwards narratives based on your insights. You adapt quickly to the evolving AI landscape while building ambitious plans that can be delivered over time.
You are an excellent communicator-equally comfortable speaking with junior engineers and senior executives

You thrive in ambiguity and move fluidly from one idea to the next as you drive problems to conclusion and discover new areas with business potential.
This role requires ownership, customer obsession, and an ability to deliver results. We are looking to expand global payment acceptance and are looking for a product lead who can research customer needs and behavior, define a clear multi-year strategy, and drive that vision to launch. The role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with external partners, UX design, Legal, and AWS engineering to deliver products that enhance customer access to AWS through payments.
The key responsibilities for this position are to:
Drive payment acceptance across AWS geographies
Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories
Support AWS payments and data compliance programs
Work closely with engineering and partner teams to deliver platform improvements that accelerate payments launches
Work closely with stakeholder teams in Accounting, Fintech, and Amazon Consumer Payments to align on priorities and maintain momentum for projects
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Develop product requirements working backwards from customer needs, focusing on products that enable growth, efficiency, and scaling of AWS's payment acceptance, fraud prevention, collections, and disbursements capabilities
Build consensus across product management, engineering, solution architecture, and business development to achieve shared goals across payment operations, fraud prevention, and platform infrastructure
Leverage AI to transform customer experience and operations, designing autonomous systems that reduce friction in payment flows, accelerate fraud investigations, enable real-time decision-making across millions of transactions, and deliver personalized payment experiences
Own end-to-end delivery of multi-year initiatives, managing complex dependencies across payment methods, fraud systems, and global compliance requirements
Develop and mentor product talent across the organization
