Description
Position: Commissioning Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring term (January - April). When you join Superior, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.
Under the guidance of our Quality Assurance and Commissioning team, the Commissioning Intern will gain exposure to commissioning processes, assisting with field documentation, and supporting project and field teams in executing commissioning workflows. This role is based on a jobsite in Columbus, Ohio. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development, formatting, and review of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents, one-line diagrams, and basic electrical drawings
  • Help coordinate commissioning checklists, readiness documentation, and project tracking
  • Participate in field walks to gain an understanding of system installation, sequencing, and overall project execution
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, electricians, and field teams to support successful project execution and maintain project readiness

Education
  • Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in the Engineering field. Electrical Engineering is preferred.
