In this role, a typical day will include:
- Assist in leading production activities, including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
- Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.
- Assist in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance efficiency and downtime to minimize disruptions.
- Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement including investigative and technical writing.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Projects in an effort to enhance products, services, efficiency, cost for improvement through methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Assure a safe work environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Location: Onsite, Fort Worth, TX
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
- Travel Requirements: 0 - 10%
- Relocation Assistance: Not Available
