Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Maintenance Squadron, Propulsion Element.

DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 = On-board technicians currently assigned to the Louisiana National GuardQualifications:GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training that has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories in accordance with technical specifications, procedures, and requirements. Experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Eighteen (18) months experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel, experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines, experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function, experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes, experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
