Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access and Badge Services in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while contributing to a welcoming, secure environment.

Pay Rate: $17.42 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Mon 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Wed 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Thur 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Fri 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information through established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter.
  • Monitor access points and visitor or driver activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry and report unusual activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
