Overview

Razorfish is looking for a Jr. Art Director with both conceptual and hands-on design chops to join our team!

In this role, you'll partner with a Jr. Copywriter and a team of creatives to concept, design, develop and execute campaigns, content, and visual assets that elevate our client brands. You'll also work closely with Account, Strategy, and Project Management teams to deliver timely content that resonates with our audiences and drives engagement.

The ideal candidate has some prior professional experience or has completed internships within an advertising agency is capable and comfortable of working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams. They should also be excited about pitching ideas and working directly with clients.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role based out of our Miami office and will require onsite engagement an average of 3 days/week. All candidates should be local to the Miami market and able to commit to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a Jr. Copywriter as well as other designers, copywriters, and brand strategists to develop, adapt, present, guide, and execute creative concepts that are aligned to the brand's vision and goals.
  • Leverage an existing library of brand and product images, graphics, and logos to create on-brand content and visual assets for client projects including site, mobile, social, email, print, and other print and digital channels; resize, tweak, merge, and assemble existing assets in order to maximize their impact, designing additional custom assets as needed.
  • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all projects and deliverables, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand identity and ensure alignment to brand initiatives, cultural moments and platform trends.
Qualifications
  • There is no specific educational requirement for this role.
  • 6+ months of prior professional design or art direction experience spanning hands-on design and creative concepting, preferably in an advertising agency environment; internship experience may be substituted.
  • High degree of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other specialized design tools; experience with video editing and animation tools is a plus.
  • An eye for motion, type, color, composition and concept.
  • Excellent conceptual creative and visual storytelling skills.
  • Confident, self-directed, and independent with outstanding organizational and time management skills as well as a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, continuously-evolving environment.
  • Very strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent listener with an ability to take direction and guidance, receive constructive criticism, and continuously improve personal process.
  • A design portfolio showcasing conceptual and design work is required and should be submitted at time of application.

Compensation Range: $50,200-$61,600 per year. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.  Compensation Range: USD $53,200.00 - USD $67,200.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
