Job description

Patricia is a hardworking 14-year-old entering 10th grade with a dream of becoming a lawyer. She fell in love with the U.S. during a visit to NYC and is excited to return. She loves volleyball, singing in the choir, and pop music. Patricia is an animal lover (especially birds and hamsters) and is eager to jump into school clubs and family activities.

We are looking for a host family to welcome Patricia into their home as a member of the family. Whether you have kids, are empty nesters, or are a single-parent household, what matters most is your heart for cultural exchange.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment.
  • Provide three meals a day (student has their own spending money for eating out).
  • Treat the student as a member of the family, not a guest.
  • Help the student integrate into the local community and high school.
  • Volunteer opportunity (no stipend is provided)

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 25 years old.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Have a spare bedroom (students can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender and similar age).
  • A heart for cultural exchange and supporting a young person's dreams!
