Job description

Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is seeking an experienced, results-driven Internet Sales Manager / BDC Manager to lead the daily operations and performance of our Business Development Center.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands automotive internet sales, knows how to maximize available opportunities, and can turn customer interactions into quality showroom appointments. This position is responsible for driving BDC performance through effective processes, consistent CRM utilization, proactive opportunity generation, and an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of BDC representatives to consistently achieve individual and department goals.
  • Drive high-quality sales appointments from internet leads, inbound calls, outbound follow-up, and other customer opportunities.
  • Monitor lead response, appointment-setting, show rates, sold rates, call activity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Identify performance opportunities and implement strategies to improve lead conversion and overall BDC results.
  • Ensure consistent and effective CRM utilization, including proper lead management, follow-up, documentation, and task completion.
  • Utilize available dealership systems and customer data to identify opportunities beyond traditional internet leads, including upcoming service appointments, lease expirations, previous customers, unsold prospects, equity opportunities, and other cold or inactive customer opportunities.
  • Review calls and customer interactions to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain quality standards.
  • Hold team members accountable for activity, follow-up, performance expectations, and customer experience.
  • Work closely with dealership sales management to ensure strong communication and an effective transition from the BDC to the showroom.
  • Assist with handling customer inquiries and escalations when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive, competitive, and team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement and results.

Qualifications
  • Previous automotive BDC or Internet Sales experience required.
  • BDC management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive BDC performance and maximize customer opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of automotive CRM systems, internet lead management, and sales processes.
  • Comfortable analyzing KPIs and using performance data to make decisions.
  • Ability to identify and develop sales opportunities beyond traditional inbound leads.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to balance customer experience and sales objectives.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
