Job description

Sales Manager

Atonom.ai  |  In-Office (Provo, UT)  |  Full-Time

About Atonom

Atonom.ai is building the world's first true Cloud Employees: AI agents that execute real work across Sales, Marketing, Support, and HR. We believe growth should be limited by ambition, not headcount. We're past the automation era. We're in the era of genuine machine autonomy, and we're building the infrastructure for it.

This role is for the seller who has been the unofficial lead on the floor and is ready to make it official. You have already proven you can close. Now you want a team of your own, a number that is yours, and a shot at building how Atonom sells while the company is still early enough that your fingerprints will stick. If that is the move you have been waiting for, this is it.

Compensation

Base salary: $85,000 – $140,000

Placement in range is based on verified experience and a performance conversation during the interview process.

How We Set You Up to Win

Most companies hand a new manager a forecast spreadsheet and wish them luck. We do not. You learn the product the way our AEs do, then you step into the seat with real credibility.

Weeks 1-2: Customer Success Immersion You sit with the CS team and see how customers actually use Atonom once they are live. The wins, the friction, what makes someone successful. That is the edge your team will sell from, and you will have it before you start coaching deals.

Days 14-90: Leading from the Floor You run pipeline reviews, sit in on calls, and work the product alongside your reps. Atonom Cloud Employees are in the motion with you. By the time the team is fully yours, you will not just know the pitch. You will have lived it.

Day 90+: The Team Is Yours You own the number, the people, and how we sell. You start with a small team and build it toward 10 as we grow.

What You Will Own

A team number that is actually yours. Not a slice of someone else's org. You forecast it, you know it cold, and you get the team there. The sales process, and making it something people want to run because it works. Your reps will know the standard. You will know where every deal stands. Coaching that makes people better. You are on the floor in Provo, in the room, on the calls. The people who work for you should be closing more in six months than they are on day one. Hiring as we scale. You start small and build toward 10. You get to choose who sits on this team. Deals that survive after the signature. You close, then you set customer success up to win. That is part of how we measure you, not an afterthought.

Who You Are

You have been the person other sellers already come to. Maybe you have managed before. Maybe you have been the senior AE everyone copies. Either way, you are ready to be measured on a team, not just your own book. You love a scoreboard. Conversion, cycle time, win rate, coverage, where deals stall. You are the kind of leader who knows the numbers because that is how you win, not because someone asked for a report. You believe process is what lets a team scale. You do not want chaos dressed up as hustle, and you do not want a playbook nobody follows. You can have a hard conversation and still have that person want to work for you. People leave your 1:1s knowing exactly where they stand and how to get better. You want to be in the office, on the floor, building this in Provo. Remote-managing a team you barely see is not the job you are looking for. You are competitive, and you are still coachable. You want to win, and you will change your own approach when the data says there is a better way. You are genuinely excited about AI and what it means for the companies your team will be talking to. You would sell this product even if it were not your job.

Nice to Have

CRM fluency (Salesforce, HubSpot) and a team that actually keeps the data clean Forecasting in a SaaS or high-velocity motion Hired or ramped sellers before, even a small pod High-activity backgrounds such as solar, retail, financial services, or insurance Experience selling AI, automation, or workforce tools

Why Atonom

You will be leading a team that sells one of the most interesting products in AI right now, to buyers who are trying to grow without just adding headcount. This is a build, not a babysitting job. Small team to start, a path to 10, and a real chance to shape how Atonom sells while it is still yours to shape. We move fast and we keep score. If you have been waiting for a company that will actually let you lead, not just give you a title, this is that seat.
