Job description

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Working in partnership with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, you will provide skilled, age-specific nursing care that supports positive outcomes across diverse populations.
This role reports to the Nurse Manager (or Executive DON, Ambulatory) and is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about advocacy, education, and continuous improvement.

Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37
The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Prefer a bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing.

Experience:
  • Must successfully complete the Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
    • Surgical Trauma: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
