Job description

SUMMARY

Installs various services or products and assembles equipment such as computers, cable or internet networks, signs, and alarm systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Positions and affixes equipment in designated locations in accordance with stipulated specifications, environmental features, and client requests.
  • Completes the set-up process for equipment.
  • Studies all pertinent instructions and scopes installation areas before starting installation.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of the product and assists in building structures for various job sites.
  • Assists with loading and unloading of materials and performing tasks involving physical labor (lifting, climbing, bending, and operating power tools).
  • Assembles various products such as service equipment, following detailed instructions and provides analysis and maintenance of assembled equipment.
  • Assembles and installs workstation products according to instructions at various customer locations and provides troubleshooting services.
  • Performs refitting and testing of devices and reviews their functionality.
  • Furnishes maintenance-related advice and maintains familiarity with prevailing building and safety stipulations.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) years of related experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated ability to fit and install technological, building-related, assistive, and similar devices in various settings.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Experience with installing and configuring computers, network systems, alarm systems, and other related equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues efficiently.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is more than 75%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 75%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, lifting of up to 50 lbs.   • Pay range: $ 50,000 - $60,000/year
