Job description

Fort De Soto Hospitality operates a variety of concessions and rentals witin the park, located in Pinellas County. We're looking for an entergetic Location Manager that will play a vital role in leading team memebers to provide top notch experiences to guests. From kayak and bike rentals, snacks, beach supplies and souvenirs, we are the premium park vendor for guests! The beachy atmosphere promotes a fun and ideal workspace immersed in the natural beauty of the park and surrounding waters!
This is a Part Time position
Summary of Position:
The Location Manager will report to the General Manager and is responsible for assiting in business operations, guest satisfaction and other priorities including accounts payables/receivables, revenue collection/auditing, interviewing, hiring and training. Additional management of various functions may include retail, café, kayak and bike rentals and other guest amenities.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete location accounting functions including revenue reconciliation, bank deposit preparation, petty cash management, and invoice processing;
  • Coach and develop all staff to ensure an understanding of job expectations and perform accordingly;
  • Actively participate in company management team meetings contributing to a positive team environment;
  • Develop new and innovative ways to meet, and respond to, the needs and demands of the diverse customer base including stimulating activities and participation in location events;
  • Address guest issues and consult/advise the General Manager about appropriate corrective action;
  • Regularly walk the property and check for areas of improvement; interact with customers in a congenial and positive manner;
  • Support and understand the company’s management systems, policies, goals and initiatives.

Position Requirements:
  • Possess ability to interact positively with management, coworkers, customers, vendors/suppliers, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach;
  • Ability to seek out new and innovative ways to meet and respond to the needs and demands of diverse customer base;
  • Ability to work regular schedule, follow directions, take constructive criticism, get along with co-workers, and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors, and customers with respect and courtesy, and refrain from abusive, insubordinate, and/or unacceptable behavior.
  • Possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence in a professional and timely manner;
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with many types of personalities;
  • Proficient in internet applications with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma required
  • Experience:; Two (2) years supervisory experience required; Club/Resort/National Park experience preferred
