Job Description
The Temporary Video Producer Assistant actively collaborates and engages with the video team, instructional designers, and graphic designers to create video content for educational online programs.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Communication, or similar field is required.
  • At least 2-3 years of prior studio or on-set experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Studio and on-location production: helping to organize the studios before and after any recording session.
  • Setting-up lights, cameras and sound equipment for recording sessions as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Video Producer Associate.
  • Camera operator/sound mixer/gaffer and grip, as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Video Producer Associate, during the recording sessions.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems and performs regular maintenance. - Ingest, logging, syncing, and organization of media.
  • Post-production project setup, editing, on-lining, archiving video, delivery, and managing of digital assets.
  • Assemble footage into string outs, rough, fine and final cuts while maintaining professional standards.
  • Receive and implement notes regarding the editing of projects based on content and input from the producers, instructional designers, and faculty members.
  • Perform initial color correction passes and preliminary sound sweetening.
  • Ensure quality control and consistency on final deliverables utilizing and recommending advanced technologies, workflows, and post-production methodologies when needed.
  • Archiving and maintaining record of master files, making sure all footage is secured and backed up.
