As an international radiation therapist, your duties are to provide radiation therapy and assist with cancer treatments abroad. Some international radiation therapists contract with international health agencies that can place you in countries of need. You may also travel to another country to provide training and instruction to other radiation therapists. Your responsibilities as a radiation therapist include preparing patients for radiation therapy, ensuring that patients and technicians are safe from radiation, calibrating and operating the radiation therapy machinery, and assisting patients with post-radiation care.
