Job Description:

The International Account Executive is responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding UPS's international services through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling. This role collaborates with Domestic Business Development and Customer Success teams, Customer Solutions, and other internal teams to develop account strategies, analyze market trends, and position UPS solutions competitively. The position requires strong business acumen, logistics expertise, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including artificial intelligence.

  • Generate new leads via cold calling, networking, and outreach methods.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage inbound leads and campaigns.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.

  • Research existing UPS account history to prioritize top targets.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities.

  • Define and document account strategies; evaluate key financial indicators to establish objectives.

Value Analysis and Presentation

  • Conduct compelling presentations to showcase UPS solutions and value propositions.

  • Communicate product features, benefits, and design tailored to customer requirements.

  • Analyze price quotes for accuracy and position solutions effectively.

Negotiation and Closing

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with potential clients to secure new business.

  • Obtain signatures for contracts and compliance documents (e.g., Power of Attorney, USMCA, 232 documentation).

  • Close deals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (BD, CS, ASM, Brokerage, Pricing) to ensure seamless execution.

  • Respond to internal requests regarding international processes, tools, and compliance.

Compliance and Market Research

  • Support customs compliance regulations through brokerage collaboration.

  • Monitor daily shipping activities to proactively identify issues and provide feedback.

  • Visit customer warehouses and distribution centers to understand customers' global supply chain and business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

  • Proven track record in B2B sales and new business acquisition.

  • Strong understanding of logistics and international shipping processes.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates broad understanding of business requirements and problem-solving.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel.
