About the Role

Join a growing aerospace and defense organization as the Director of Government Compliance and Pricing, where you'll lead the strategy behind competitive government proposals and long-term financial success. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing pricing strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with executive leadership to win complex government programs.

In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with Business Development, Finance, Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to shape pricing strategies, improve cost competitiveness, and ensure compliance with government acquisition regulations. The ideal candidate combines deep government contracting expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to influence strategic decisions across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's government pricing strategy across cost-type, fixed-price, and incentive-based contracts
  • Develop competitive pricing models, cost estimates, and financial analyses supporting new business pursuits and recompete opportunities
  • Partner with Business Development and Executive Leadership to support bid/no-bid decisions, capture strategies, and proposal development
  • Oversee indirect rate development, forward pricing rate proposals, and long-range cost forecasting
  • Lead pricing negotiations with government customers while balancing profitability, competitiveness, and risk
  • Ensure pricing proposals comply with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA) requirements
  • Serve as the primary interface with DCAA and DCMA on pricing, cost estimating, and audit-related matters
  • Analyze program financial performance to identify pricing opportunities, cost risks, and margin improvement strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement of pricing processes, tools, and estimating methodologies
  • Collaborate with Contracts, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and Program Management to support successful program execution
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing pricing and government compliance team
  • Support strategic initiatives including new contract vehicles, business growth, mergers and acquisitions, and market expansion


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in government pricing, cost estimating, or financial strategy within the aerospace and defense industry
  • Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TINA) requirements
  • Proven experience leading pricing strategy for complex government proposals and competitive contract pursuits
  • Experience developing cost models, indirect rates, pricing strategies, and financial forecasts
  • Strong analytical, financial, negotiation, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (MBA or related field)
  • Experience within a privately held or high-growth aerospace and defense organization
  • Demonstrated success supporting major competitive proposal wins and long-term program profitability
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or international government programs
  • Experience leading pricing organizations and mentoring high-performing teams
