Job description

Candidates must:

Be able to solve problems independently

Have a strong mechanical aptitude

Be able to move quickly with their feet

Be able to stay on their feet for 12 hours

Be ultra-cognizant of their surroundings and potential hazards

Be able to lift 50 + pounds

Be able to climb stairs & ladders

Be able to tolerate a hot (100 + degree) climate

Be able to work 12 hour rotating shift roster (day and nights, including weekends and holidays)

Be highly motivated

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Monitor machines, equipment, and processes

Housekeeping to include washing up, raking up paper, shoveling debris, etc

Small repairs of paper mill equipment

Identify areas for process improvement

Perform test on either raw material or finished product

Perform fast walking rounds of work area continuously

Install paper machine clothing

Train other employees as well as receive training in multiple jobs throughout the plant
