Job description

Job Summary/Company: Are you a highly organized and internationally-minded with a passion for professional education, looking to contribute to fostering global connections? Sparks Group has partnered with a medical association seeking and International Programs Coordinator to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing international educational activities. In this dynamic position, you'll be instrumental in shaping programs that include resident courses, licensing activities, and new business development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Program Development & Implementation: Develop and execute a variety of international educational activities, both in-person and virtual, including resident courses, licensing programs, and guest lectures.

  • Content & Speaker Management: Work with subject matter experts to craft compelling agendas, identify and recruit expert speakers, and assist in the preparation of all educational materials.

  • Logistics & Administration: Manage program budgets, reconcile expenses, and ensure the smooth execution of all assigned activities. This includes building registration platforms, managing content distribution, and overseeing CME claim processes.

  • Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure all assigned educational activities comply with ACCME accreditation and Standards for Independence and Integrity requirements, maintaining meticulous CME files.

  • International Representation: Represent the organization at various international society meetings and participate in leadership discussions as needed.

  • Annual Meeting Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for our international programs at our Annual Meeting, coordinating program development and supporting global initiatives.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Foster strong relationships with leadership, speakers, and international societies, working in concert with the International Programs Director and other departments.

  • Membership & Humanitarian Support: Support membership strategies and humanitarian efforts related to our international collaborations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in professional education, with a strong focus on international activities.

  • Travel Management: Prior experience with booking and managing international travel is essential.

  • Medical Education (Preferred): Experience with medical education and ACCME or similar accreditation is preferred.

  • Non-profit Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with non-profits or medical associations is a plus.

  • Financial Acumen: Proven knowledge and experience in budget preparation and daily financial operations.

  • Organizational Prowess: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Language Skills (Preferred): Fluency in a foreign language is preferred.

  • Reporting Skills: Ability to develop clear, concise reports from meeting attendance.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Travel Availability: Ability to travel for 6 days during the Annual Meeting and up to five additional trips annually.

Pay Range: Hourly $31.00 to $33.00
