W International is a world class metal fabricator located in Goose Creek, SC, specializing in complex critical weldments for the defense, aerospace and commercial markets. W International's unique facility encompasses 45 acres and over 450,000 square feet of manufacturing space on the Cooper River. W International works on some of the leading projects in the industry and can ship via barge, rail, or articulated vehicle. We are certified to AS9100 Rev. D and ISO9001: 2015, as well as numerous NAVSEA weld and quality certifications.
Successful candidate will oversee the design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.

Responsibilities of the Position Include:
• Must perform and report findings for NDT inspections, ability to coordinate with and
communicate effectively with all parties/departments.
• Verify the implementation of contract documents
• Produce inspection reports and maintain detailed records of work performed
• Mentoring and training of staff as assigned.
• Recognizes complex problems and assists in bringing to resolution
• Proficient in applying standard inspection testing techniques and procedures for the verification of material
• Able to read and interpret complex blueprints, customer/vendor specifications, and shop drawings
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, confidentiality, and strong ethic values
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Must be able to use a tape measure and basic metrology equipment I.E (Micrometer, scales, and calipers)
• Understand and experience in AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6, and D17.1. Also -1688, -271, -248 NAVSEA experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
NDT Level II Certification -Must be able to meet one or more of the requirements below:
• VT-210 Method Experience Hours
• PT-210 Method Experience Hours
• MT-280 Method Experience Hours
  • Documented training and classroom hours for each method per SNT-TC-1A or the ability to meet the requirements within 90 days.
  • Experience with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding highly preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
  • Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities and have a dependable work ethic
  • Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form including but not limited to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
  • Ability to use a wide variety of inspection tools

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of Tech Pub 1688 and AWS welding codes
  • Past working experience with Defense contractors
  • Experience with Shop Tech E2 ERP system or similar workflow
  • Past experience working for or at a fabrication facility
  • Current or previous CWI
  • Proof of class training time and on the job training time preferred
