 Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Manager to oversee material quality control, material master data management, and quality-related customer support activities. This role works closely with Supply Chain, suppliers, manufacturers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are properly inspected, identified, stored, maintained in the SCM system, and delivered in accordance with quality and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in material inspection, inventory or supply chain operations, quality control, and cross-functional problem solving, with the ability to improve processes and maintain accurate material information across systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee secondary inspections of incoming materials to verify quality, quantity, specifications, and condition.

  • Conduct material shipment inspections and ensure materials meet applicable quality and shipment requirements.

  • Develop and provide training on material identification, recognition, handling, and storage requirements.

  • Identify and resolve issues involving mixed or incorrect material storage.

  • Manage obsolete materials and support proper storage, disposition, and inventory control processes.

  • Coordinate with MICU teams, suppliers, and manufacturers to compile, review, and maintain accurate part number lists.

  • Review and optimize part number descriptions to improve material identification and system accuracy.

  • Maintain and update material photos and supporting information within the SCM system.

  • Manage Unit of Measure (UoM) updates and ensure consistency across material records.

  • Support the creation, inactivation, correction, and merging of part numbers within the SCM system.

  • Monitor material master data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

  • Troubleshoot material ordering and SCM system issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to cargo transportation, incorrect shipments, damaged materials, or product quality.

  • Coordinate returns, exchanges, replacement materials, and corrective actions with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

  • Identify recurring quality or material-management issues and support process improvement and corrective action initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inspections, material issues, customer complaints, and corrective actions.

  • Perform other quality, material management, and operational support duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Quality Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control, material management, supply chain, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related function.

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required.

  • Experience with incoming material inspection, inventory control, material identification, or material master data management.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify material discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, customers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with ERP, SCM, inventory, or material management systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience.

  • Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial environments.

  • Experience managing part numbers, Bills of Materials (BOM), material master data, or inventory databases.

  • Familiarity with quality inspection procedures, nonconforming materials, corrective actions, and supplier quality processes.

  • Experience handling customer complaints, returns, exchanges, or shipment-related quality issues.
