Hours: 8am โ€“ 5pm Monday - Friday (onsite, some flexibility in start and end times) This is not a remote or work from home position.

Travel: Some weekends and travel required around industry events.

Summary

This position is responsible for answering telephone calls, providing membership and chapter information, receiving and processing membership and chapter payments, entering new and updated member information. No cold calling.

This position handles cash, credit card numbers and other confidential information. The organization serves members and worldwide with varying and diverse cultures. Providing excellent customer service to members, chapters, employees and volunteers is essential.

All applicants should demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, hunting as an essential part of biologically sound and ethically responsible international wildlife management. The ideal candidate will have an existing knowledge of SCIโ€™s current programs and mission and be passionate about hunterโ€™s rights.

Responsibilities

  • Processes membership dues payments. Balance batches, make daily deposits, issue refunds when necessary, and file daily batches
  • Maintains membership database. Enters new members, applies tracking codes, audits entered data and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Processes chapter fundraiser packets, enters member information, balances applications against checks and charge amounts. Enters tracking codes and sponsors, and files applications.
  • Opens, sorts, and categorizes incoming mail.
  • Provides membership and chapter information via telephone, email and mail. Assists other departments with any membership related questions.
  • Processes Convention registrations and receives and processes payments via credit card, cash, or check. Verifies registration orders with callers prior to completion of call. Upsells convention packages during registration entry process.
  • Travels to and provides support to our members at the SCI Annual Convention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ยท High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred

ยท 2-3 years of Data Entry experience

ยท 3+ years of experience with database software

ยท 3+ years of Customer Service experience.

ยท Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and exceptional customer focus

ยท Must be proficient with spreadsheet, word processing, database and graphic presentation software programs

ยท Ability to become proficient with SCIโ€™s proprietary software

ยท Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered
