As a System Application Engineer IGP, you will focus on the optimaldesign of efficient, intelligent, reliable system power delivery solutions forDC powered AI server IT rack. This position is a part of dedicated engineeringtalent development program with 3 assignments in US and Asia region.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
  • Assignment1 (Duration: 6 months; location: San Jose, CA, USA): Optimal design of Highefficiency 800V to 50V/12V/6V DC/DC power solutions for future AI servers.Detail work include design analysis, simulation and testing of HV intermediatebus converters
  • Assignment2 (Duration: 6 months; location: EL Segundo, CA, USA): Solution implementationof comprehensive hot swap solutions with fault tolerance and black box featuresfor reliable power delivery of IT rack. Detail work include the design,validation and documentation of Intelligent hotswap demos with built-in blackbox features.
  • Assignment3 (Duration: 6 month; Location: Taipei, Taiwan): Deep-dive study of system integration of power delivery building blocks and Dynamic power management of DC powered IT rack. Detail work include power tree analysis, power redundance analysis, system level power management analysis. Engineering work in our Taipei office and technical support to ODMs with US OEMs will included in this assignment.
  • Final Placement: Upon the completion of International assignments, the position will be converted to a full-time employee in Infineon's silicon valley headquarters in San Jose, CA

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
  • Education: Recent Graduate (0-1 years) with a Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with focus on power electronics preferred
  • Power Experience: Solid foundation in design, modeling, and validation of power converters for data center and telecom applications
  • Control Skills: Hands-on experience with closed-loop control of power converters using digital controllers and real-time platforms
  • Soft Skills: Thrives in agile environments with strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability
  • Language: Fluent written and spoken English
  • US citizen or green card holder: This position requires a valid U.S. passport and the ability to travel and work internationally
