Job description

Introduction
We are looking for high-caliber undergraduate or graduate students in Mathematics, Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related fields who are interested in learning about the daily management of project finance transactions and related due diligence associated with financing select Clients in energy, oil & gas, infrastructure, etc., to kick-start a future career in Project/Structured Finance.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a multi-cultural team, comprised of professionals with varied backgrounds who are dedicated to the daily activities associated with the origination, evaluation, credit process and monitoring of project finance transactions in an international bank.
Teamworking, problem solving and analytical skills are what we are looking for in our new colleagues.
Activities
Primarily support the senior professionals of the Project Finance team in the origination, evaluation, credit process and monitoring of project finance transactions with a focus on financing energy, oil & gas, infrastructure as well as selective real estate transactions.
Main activities / tasks:
• Support the execution of transactions, providing structuring, modelling and administration support to originators
• Direct Responsibility for actively monitoring and overseeing Project Finance assets
• Manage/Monitor portfolio activities, progressively performing credit reviews, process waiver & amendment or any other aspect of portfolio administration
• Manage & Administer non-relationship credit portfolios
• Compose Credit Applications and interact with credit and loan administration departments
• Oversee Asset Recovery Portfolio via:
o Monitor and report on quarterly basis or when status and progress of recovery efforts is needed/requested
o Administer disposition of loan recoveries
• Perform related duties assigned by Business Director, MD and/or the Head of Department, and participate in special projects as required
Possible direct involvement in any ad hoc initiatives and projects managed or co-managed by the Head of Structured Finance Americas will be dependent on hard & soft skills already acquired.

  • You will be exposed to the daily activities of the Structured Finance Desk, primarily focused on the management of project finance transactions and due diligence, credit analysis, loan execution or structured loan administration, financing dynamics and related corporate risks
  • You will learn how an International bank such as Intesa Sanpaolo support the business developments of its Corporate Clients globally, primarily in the Americas, with the opportunity to interact with a multitude of different Business Functions and Business Structures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, or Business Administration/ an MBA or Master Degree Program in Banking and / or Finance;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • General understanding of international business and knowledge of financial products, Finance, Accounting, and documentation.
  • Credit Analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in English (Italian would be a plus), both written and spoken
  • Available for 6 months

Distinct advantage would be:
  • Knowledge of, or previous experience supporting project finance transactions, credit analysis and/or loan execution or structured loan administration is advantageous;
  • Previous internship in an International bank.
