Job Summary The Director of International Delegations leads the strategic direction, operational management, and successful execution of the U.S. Department of State-funded International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and other programs for delegations of international professionals visiting the United States. The Director provides overall leadership for program implementation, ensuring contractual compliance, quality delivery, fiscal stewardship, and achievement of organizational and sponsor goals

The Director serves as IIE's primary point of contact with the U.S. Department of State Office of International Visitors (OIV), and other key stakeholders, including Global Ties U.S., Community-Based Members, and U.S. universities, and drives collaboration across a broad network of partners

The Director leads and develops a multidisciplinary team to ensure resources are effectively aligned to meet program goals. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, the Director advances organizational priorities through cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, business development support, and implementation of special initiatives. The Director is ultimately accountable for the overall success of the portfolio, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget, contractual requirements are fulfilled, sponsor relationships are maintained at the highest level, and program outcomes reflect the mission and values of both IIE and its funding partners.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT ON FUNDING Essential Functions: Manages the IVLP Cooperative Agreement with ECA on behalf of IIE. Provides oversight for all deliverables, outputs, overall quality, and program competitiveness. Provides the strategic vision for the overall project to ensure the sponsor's vision and goals are met.

Provides direction to ensure branding guidelines are followed in external materials and communications. Communicates daily with senior level sponsor contacts at the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) on behalf of IIE and the IVLP

Manages and/or directs the Office of International Visitors' sponsor experience, consistent with established protocols and best practices. Represents IIE IVLP at internal and external meetings, events, and conferences while directing activities of team members. Builds and expands IIE's networks with organizations and entities key to enhancing IIE's administration of the International Visitor Leadership Program.

Provides leadership and guidance to IVLP team members by assigning projects, fostering professional growth, and promoting program management and delivery best practices. Collaborates across the organization to support related programs and initiatives, including business development efforts, proposal development, and other program implementation as needed to build cross team networks and shared expertise. Delegates collection, compilation, and analyzing of data for regular impact reporting as well as contractual deliverables.

Develops regular reports for the sponsor which demonstrate IIE's innovation, quality, and the impact of program. Works with Program Finance to manage the programs administrative and project budgets, track cost-share commitments, and support financial documentation and reporting. Perform project manager functions for limited IVLP projects as needed.

Provides oversight or guidance on all special initiatives and projects assigned to IIE by the sponsor.Qualifications and Experience: Education and Work Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of related work experience, or combination education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a minimum of 8 years of work experience, preferably working with mid-career professionals and U.S. Department of State exchange programs

Understanding of international exchange programs and U.S. foreign policy. Must be knowledgeable about and have experience working with local implementing partners to support programming for international visitors

Must have strong written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills. Must have extensive external sponsor and stakeholder management experience. Salary and Benefits: Hiring Range:$102,082 - $123,417.

A candidate's starting salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
