The Environmental Specialist will support Environmental Compliance for Kokomo facilities (Air, Wastewater, RCRA/DOT, Stormwater compliance) and ensures compliance to all federal and state Environmental requirements.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (R); BS Environmental Sciences - Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil; Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Physical Science, or equivalent (P)
Experience: 1-5 Years Industrial Environmental Support (R), Regulatory Compliance in Environmental fields (P), Experience in a union environment (P), RCRA/DOT regulations (P), Waste Stream Experience (P), Air Permitting experience (P), ISO 1400 experience (P)
Areas of Knowledge: Safety (R), Regulatory Reporting (R), Stormwater compliance R, Pollution Prevention (R), RCRA Reporting (R), Hazardous waste manifesting (R), Hazwoper (P), Compliance with Manufacturing Permits (P), Air Permitting Compliance (P), ISO 1400 experience (P)

  • Updating of environmental plans and site wide programs
  • Serve as an environmental liaison to outside organizations
  • Coordinate Air Permitting tasks - Stack Testing, Inspections and recertification
  • Administrative work for all environmental tasks plant wide
