Job Summary:
Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company focused on designing, building, securing, and operating software solutions for Federal Government organizations. They are seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the Air Force Special Operations Command by maintaining the C2MS cloud and ensuring the security and integrity of the technical environment.
Responsibilities:
• Focuses on the customer to deliver a solid product.
• Responsible for resolving IT software and infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.
• Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
• Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
• Supports new infrastructure projects.
• Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience in Amazon Web Services, Azure, and other commercial cloud vendors.
• Experience creating and editing CloudFormation, TerraForm, Azure Resource Manager, and other IaC templates.
• Cloud Foundation Certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.)
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline from institution recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for approved curriculum.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containers.
• Experience working in an Agile organization.
• Automation and Scripting experience using Python, Javascript, GO, and other scripting languages.
• Experience developing dashboards in CloudWatch, Splunk, and ELK.
• DevSecOps automation and pipeline experience.
• Interested in performance monitoring and developing KPIs.
• Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks.
• Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
