Overview

Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI) is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Athletic Training Recruiter to join our established internal Corporate Talent Acquisition team to support the hiring and staffing efforts for our nationwide military health and human performance programs. This opportunity is ideal for Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) who are passionate about the profession and interested in transitioning into a rewarding recruiting and talent acquisition career while continuing to support fellow athletic trainers nationwide.

In this role, you will leverage your athletic training background, professional network, and understanding of the AT profession to recruit Certified Athletic Trainers supporting our rapidly growing military health and human performance programs across the country. You'll partner directly with program leadership and recruiting teammates to identify, engage, and hire high-quality ATCs who help improve soldier readiness, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall performance for our nation's active-duty military personnel.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
  • Recruit Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) for nationwide military health and performance programs.
  • Utilize your understanding of the athletic training profession to engage, evaluate, and connect with qualified ATCs.
  • Build relationships within the athletic training community through professional associations, networking groups, universities, conferences, and social media platforms.
  • Source, identify, pre-screen, and recommend qualified candidates for interviews.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including:
    • Gathering hiring requirements
    • Drafting and posting job descriptions
    • Sourcing and screening candidates
    • Coordinating interviews
    • Creating candidate submission summaries
    • Driving offer negotiations
  • Develop creative recruiting strategies and talent pipelines for athletic training and healthcare-related positions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and career advisor to athletic trainers exploring career opportunities within military and tactical healthcare settings.
  • Create engaging recruitment advertising and participate in virtual and in-person job fairs, conferences, and recruiting events.
  • Partner with hiring managers and program leadership to support staffing priorities and hiring initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, OFCCP requirements, company policies, and recruiting best practices.
  • Participate in regular recruiting meetings, provide status updates, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Support additional recruiting initiatives and projects across PSI and its subsidiaries as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer, healthcare recruiter, or in a relationship-driven professional role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, and career development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn recruiting systems and processes quickly.
  • Professional, team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills.
  • Occasional travel will be required for conferences, recruiting events, or orientations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with military, tactical, collegiate, industrial, or sports performance populations.
  • Previous recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably iCIMS.
  • Existing network within the athletic training profession.
  • Experience attending or participating in NATA or athletic training conferences/events.
  • Government contracting or healthcare staffing experience is a plus.
