Clinical Neurodiagnostic Assistant

The Clinical Neurodiagnostic (CND) Assistant will support specific clinical neurophysiology areas within the Department of Neurology. These areas include Autonomics, Electroencephalography (EEG), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), Neurology Gait Lab, Interoperative Neurophysiology Monitoring (IONM), and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The CND assistant will be cross trained in multiple areas of the practice based on departmental need.

The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED. Minimum of one year of patient care experience required or current student in the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Clinical Neurophysiology Technology Program.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Requires computer skills including Windows based applications.
  • Ability to navigate through multiple applications and platforms with ease.
  • Preferred experience includes roles such as desk operations specialist, nursing assistant, patient care assistant, procedural support assistant, or licensed practical nurse. Previous experience in Neurology preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently, remain goal-oriented, and maintain excellent organizational skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette, professional face-to-face interactions, and effective electronic correspondence.
