About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Container Platform Engineer to lead the design, build, and optimization of our cloud-native application platform. This role enables development teams to deliver applications faster, more securely, and with high reliability using modern container orchestration and deployment practices.

You will collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE, and Security teams to architect scalable, self-service container platforms leveraging AWS services, Kubernetes, and industry-leading open-source tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade container platforms on AWS using EKS, ECS, and Fargate

  • Build and operate multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters with strong availability, scalability, and security

  • Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD for automated, reliable deployments

  • Package and deploy applications using Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests

  • Provision infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation with reusable modules and best practices

  • Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management

  • Develop scripts and platform tooling using Go, Python, or Bash to enable automation, integrations, and operational efficiency

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for container workloads (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)

  • Optimize resource utilization and cloud costs without compromising performance

  • Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortems for platform issues

  • Partner with development teams to design container-ready applications and CI/CD pipelines

  • Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering best practices

  • Drive adoption of cloud-native security, governance, and compliance standards

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-native infrastructure or platform engineering

  • Strong expertise with AWS services: EKS, ECS, Fargate, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and networking

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, networking, RBAC, and multi-tenant architecture

  • Hands-on experience with Argo CD, Helm, and GitOps practices

  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong knowledge of container security, scaling, and workload isolation

  • Solid scripting and programming experience (Go, Python, Bash, or similar) to build automation, platform services, and internal tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer)

  • Experience with service mesh and cluster mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, multi-cluster federation)

  • Familiarity with platform engineering tools such as Backstage or internal developer platforms (IDPs)

  • Experience supporting AI/ML or GPU-based workloads on Kubernetes (e.g., NVIDIA GPU Operator, ML pipelines, model serving platforms)

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulated environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA)

  • Exposure to policy-as-code and security tooling (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, image scanning, SBOMs)
