Job Description -Β Human Resources Information SystemsΒ DirectorΒ Β 

Mission of the Role:Β 

TheΒ Human Resources (HR) InformationΒ SystemsΒ DirectorΒ will play a critical role in the future of Apex Service Partners by providing leadership over the core applications supporting theΒ People OperationsΒ function at Apex. Reporting to the CIO, this role will collaborate with departmental and operational leadership teams to enhance, support, and innovate theΒ Human ResourcesΒ software architecture (consisting of several integrated SaaS-based software tools) toΒ support a world class People Operations function -Β drivingΒ efficiencies, improvingΒ the employee experience, and ultimately increasingΒ profitability.Β 

TheΒ HRΒ Information SystemsΒ DirectorΒ will build and/or maintain highly scalable, best-in-class integratedΒ HRΒ technology stack, driving adoption/alignment at Partner Services and with the Regional Leadership teams. Working as part of the Technology Services Enterprise Applications team and integrated with the overall Apex technology strategy, the Lead will work closely with their clients inΒ the People OperationsΒ functionΒ (including Talent Acquisitions, Talent Development, Employee Services, and Payroll)Β to find the balance between our fierce focus on local operations with the benefits of scale for processes and systems.Β 

TheΒ DirectorΒ will be accountable for the management and administration of a variety ofΒ HRΒ software platforms, ensuring alignment to business processes and acting as a data steward for the applications under their domain. He / she must have superior organization and communication skills, while maintaining incredible attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This individual will perform both strategic and tactical work withΒ HRΒ tech that requires high levels of competency with organizational communication and training.Β 

Successful candidates must have experience with mid-market integrated SaaSplatforms supportingΒ HRΒ teams. This individual must be growth-oriented, have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, be a strong and articulate communicator, and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.Β 

Responsibilities and Experience:Β 

Job responsibilities include:Β 

  • Overseeing and owning the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company'sΒ HRΒ software applications, including their administration, user training, adoption, optimization and ultimately innovation.Β 
  • Providing subject matter expertise related to theΒ HRΒ application stack and processes, with a focus on being fact-based and metric driven in all aspects of back-office operations.Β 
  • Participating in and improving our relationships with the strategic account managers and support teams at ourΒ HRΒ software vendor partners.Β 
  • Bringing a true "client service" mindset to building relationships with users and leadership, particularly field colleagues, whereby all parties can depend on the Enterprise Applications department for theirΒ HRΒ software needs.Β 
  • Providing leadership ofΒ HRΒ software and support services to ensure reliable, scalable and sustainable customer and employee-focused operations, and efficiencies for the business.Β 
  • Working with Enterprise Applications department leadership to establish priorities for theΒ HRΒ applications, recommending the highest value activities that are aligned to the business strategy and delivered according to planned timeline and budget.Β 
  • Working with internal cybersecurity leaders to build and execute cyber security goals related to theΒ HRΒ software environment.Β 
  • Developing and/or refining aΒ HRΒ M&A Playbook - working in conjunction withΒ HRΒ colleagues to support integration of new acquisitions ontoΒ HR system architecture.Β 
  • Staying currentΒ onΒ theΒ HRΒ technology marketplace and developing use cases for our investment in emerging technologies.Β 

Requisite experiences include:Β 

  • Bachelor's degreeΒ required.Β 
  • 10+ years minimumΒ working withΒ withΒ SaaS-basedΒ HRΒ software, preferably in aΒ rapidly-growingΒ middle market company (PE-backed company experience a plus).Β  Multi-year experience implementing or assessing / enhancing existing HR Information Systems platforms in a consulting capacity (either with an HR software vendor or a 3rdΒ party consultancy) is preferred.Β Β Β 
  • Functional experience supporting all aspects of HR system needs, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Performance Management, Employee Services, Benefits, Payroll, etc.Β 
  • Proven project delivery experience, outstanding track record of supporting project team delivery of high-quality solutionsΒ on-timeΒ and on-budget across concurrent and complex projects.Β
