IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager (Land Development) to join our Manassas, VA office. In this leadership role, you'll oversee projects from pursuit through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams while leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts.
You'll work closely with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced project manager who thrives on ownership, leadership, and building lasting client relationships.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage civil engineering and land development projects of varying size and complexity while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project pursuits and opportunity development.
  • Assist with scope development, fee calculations, proposal preparation, and contract reviews.
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and deadlines to ensure successful execution.
  • Manage project financial performance, including monthly billings, forecasting, and completion percentage reporting.
  • Coordinate project staffing and scheduling throughout design and construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with owner requirements, quality control procedures, and applicable codes.
  • Lead project status meetings, prepare project documentation, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Lead project interviews and client presentations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate project team members.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Respond to client and construction-related concerns while managing change orders and approvals.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years required, 10 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience within an engineering consulting, architecture, construction management, or related professional services environment required.
  • Completion of a formal project management training program or other recognized industry-standard project management training preferred.

State of Virginia Salary Range: $140,000 - $174,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
