Job description

The Product Manager develops, manages product programs to support Cone Drive Encoders' strategic business objectives. The role plays an instrumental part in promoting the brand, technology, products and capabilities to customers and stakeholders; positioning the company as a world leader in encoder technology; and driving awareness of the global footprint & value proposition

  • Research market trends and future opportunities to develop and grow products and capabilities; ensure product portfolio is in line with market needs
  • Using Cone Drive's "New Product Introduction" (NPI) process, oversee all project activity by coordinating gate reviews and driving the project team to complete and document appropriate gate deliverables (up to "Gate 1")
  • Provide product training for current and potential customers to increase customer satisfaction, product awareness, and grow the brand
  • Provide internal product training
  • Perform on-site visits to support sales and develop new business opportunities
  • Create training materials to diversify the catalog of information available for customers
  • Grow involvement in industry organizations
  • Provide product support to internal sales team, external sales representatives, ASP's, and distributors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Marketing
  • 7 to 10 years' related experience supporting product applications or product management; background electronics or mechatronic products highly preferred
  • Ability to lead and manage both internal and external resources
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).  Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
