Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist – Lincolnshire, IL
Salary: $70,000–$75,000 + Excellent Benefits + 401(k) + Paid Time Off

What We Are Looking For:

We're seeking a Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll partner closely with Account Managers and customers to ensure orders are entered accurately, questions are resolved promptly, and every step of the order process runs smoothly. This position is ideal for someone with experience in B2B customer service and order entry who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


This is NOT a call center position. The majority of customer communication and order processing is handled via email, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process a high volume of customer orders using SAP and other internal systems
  • Review incoming purchase orders, confirm pricing, inventory availability, shipping details, and enter orders into the system
  • Generate quotes, order confirmations, and shipment status updates for customers
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries related to order status, product availability, shipping, and general support
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Research and resolve order issues, shipment discrepancies, and customer concerns in a prompt and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including billing, shipping, and account information
  • Manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional attention to detail and accuracy


Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service and order processing within a B2B manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
  • A customer-focused approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
