Location: Boise, ID

Are you someone who enjoys variety, learns quickly, and can confidently jump in wherever you're needed most? Do you thrive in an environment where no two assignments are exactly the same? Are you organized, adaptable, and energized by helping both customers and teammates succeed? If so, Better Business Bureau (BBB) Great West + Pacific may have the perfect opportunity for you!

We're looking for an Operations Services team member to provide flexible, cross-functional support across several of our operational teams. This unique role is designed for someone who enjoys learning new things, adapting to changing priorities, and stepping in to make an impact wherever the business needs them most.

Depending on the assignment, you may support customer care, dispute resolution, standards review, investigations, account management, billing, or other operational functions. You'll build knowledge across multiple areas of BBB while helping ensure our consumers, Accredited Businesses, and internal teams continue to receive high-quality, dependable service.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Provide temporary, ongoing, and project-based support across different operational teams based on business needs, workload, and staffing coverage.
  • Learn the policies, procedures, systems, and workflows of multiple departments and transition between assignments with confidence and professionalism.
  • Assist consumers, Accredited Businesses, and other stakeholders through phone, email, live chat, and other communication channels.
  • Provide accurate, courteous, and neutral information while using empathy, active listening, and sound judgment during challenging or sensitive interactions.
  • Create, review, and update BBB Business Profiles, customer records, case notes, and other documentation with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.
  • Support operational work that may include complaints and customer reviews, accreditation processes, research and investigations, customer success, billing, renewals, and account-related activities.
  • Manage changing priorities, multiple work queues, deadlines, and service expectations while keeping leaders informed of workload concerns or potential barriers.
  • Use Microsoft 365, CRM and case-management systems, reporting tools, and other technology to organize information and complete assigned work.
  • Responsibly use BBB-approved AI-enabled tools for research, drafting, analysis, documentation, problem-solving, and process improvement while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight.
  • Participate in cross-training, team meetings, coaching, and professional development to maintain readiness to support multiple areas of the organization.
What We're Looking For:
  • Someone who is highly adaptable, curious, and comfortable learning multiple roles, systems, and processes.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to remain professional, neutral, patient, and solutions-oriented during difficult conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust your approach for different audiences and situations.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to balance changing priorities and multiple assignments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation and data quality.
  • Sound judgment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, including knowing when to independently resolve an issue and when to escalate.
  • Comfort using technology, including Microsoft Office applications, CRM or case-management systems, email, and web-based tools.
  • A willingness to embrace new technology and responsibly use approved AI-enabled tools to work more efficiently and effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish.
  • Experience supporting both customer-facing and administrative functions.
  • Experience working across multiple departments or in a shared-services environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, case-management systems, shared work queues, or database maintenance.
  • Experience using Excel for reports, trackers, or operational data.
  • Experience using generative AI or AI-enabled tools in a professional environment.
Why You'll Love Working at BBB:

At BBB, our culture is rooted in integrity, trust, teamwork, and service. In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to learn how multiple areas of our organization work together while building a broad set of skills and making an impact across teams.

If you enjoy variety, love learning, and want a role where your flexibility and willingness to jump in truly matter, this could be a great fit.

In Case You Were Wondering:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans (Dental and Vision base plans with premiums 100% paid for by BBB)
  • 100% employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance
  • Optional insurance plans (short-term disability, additional life, etc.)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) as of your date of hire
  • Paid holidays, plus your birthday off with pay
  • Safe Harbor 401(k) plan with immediate vesting and up to a 6% company match
  • Opportunities to learn across multiple areas of BBB and expand your professional skill set
