Job description

JOB TITLE: Quality Control Manager Required Education: College Special Training Needed: Technical training and complete understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. (GD & T) Experience Required: Required a Bachelor Degree and/ or 5-10 years in quality Control, with competency in policy, procedure, leadership, technical expertise, and data analysis of which at least 3 years be in the quality administration realm. Must have an in-depth understanding of Quality Management system (QMS) and how they relate to customer satisfaction/expectations. PURPOSE OF POSITION

The role requires a meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to upholding KAC's reputation for precision and performance.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
  • Devise quality standards and procedures that define and establish quality guidelines, policies, and techniques that products and processes must adhere to.
  • Manage the implementation of product testing with ability to analyze results of said testing. Identify defects to ensure products meet specifications and are free of errors.
  • Interact with other departments to include but not limited to product development, engineering, and manufacturing with intent to integrate quality into the productโ€™s complete duration.
  • Analyze performance data with intent to uphold continuous improvement to include customer feedback and suggesting improvements that would enhance both product quality and process productivity.
  • Verify that product and processes fulfill applicable industry regulations, internal policies and procedures to include contact requirements as they pertain to quality requirements.
  • Establish and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for gauges, ensuring all measuring equipment and services are calibrated at defined intervals to maintain accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
  • Monitors internal, external audits, and reviews identify potential discrepancies to ensure establish standards are being adhered to the intent of minimizing risk as it pertains to quality.
  • Hire, lead, and train where applicable, the QA departments personnel; in efforts of producing a team and environment focused on achieving quality goals and continuous improvements.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor department team members to achieve individual and team performance goals, emphasizing quality and efficiency to maintain high performance and engagement.
  • Provide updates, feedback, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and scalable growth.
  • Proficient in using computers, emails, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Stay current with technologies, tools, techniques, and best practices.
  • Ensure safety and ISO compliance requirements are being met.
  • Highly-effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Performs other duties assigned by senior management.
  • Maintain 100% ISO compliance.
