The Controller is responsible for overseeing vendor account management, financial reporting, and the development of operational budgets across a multi-unit hospitality organization. This role partners closely with the VP of Accounting & Finance to provide strong financial leadership, ensure fiscal integrity, and align financial strategy with Atlas Restaurant Group’s Core Values.


What You’ll Do

Lead Financial Operations

  • Oversee financial operations across multiple locations, including general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, and operating budgets
  • Monitor and manage all functions within Restaurant365, including invoice review and input
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial reporting

Drive Insight & Strategy

  • Analyze financial performance and present clear, actionable insights to executive leadership
  • Provide recommendations that improve efficiency, profitability, and scalability
  • Support strategic decision-making through thoughtful financial analysis and forecasting

Own Budgeting & Performance

  • Partner with department leaders to develop annual budgets
  • Monitor performance against budget and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Manage cash flow and oversee disbursement functions

Ensure Compliance & Integrity

  • Liaise with external auditors for financial and insurance audits
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
  • Safeguard the integrity of financial data and reporting

Develop & Lead the Team

  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the accounting team, including Accountant, AP Specialist, and Accounting Intern
  • Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Elevate financial acumen across the organization through partnership and collaboration

Support Organizational Growth

  • Contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives from a financial perspective
  • Provide guidance on business drivers, investments, and operational decisions
  • Act as a key thought partner to leadership across departments

  • Experience managing audits and preparing audit reports
