Job description

The Marketing Intern will support Parker's Kitchen's Marketing team through a variety of initiatives focused on customer engagement, digital brand presence, reputation management, event coordination, and content support. This internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, customer service, social media, retail media networks, and community engagement within a fast-growing retail organization. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about marketing, customer experience, and brand growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Online Reputation Management & Social Listening
  • Manage and verify store listings across search engines, websites, mobile apps, ordering platforms, and other digital channels
  • Monitor online reviews and overall customer feedback across multiple platforms
  • Participate in social listening efforts to identify customer trends, brand opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency and accuracy across all online platforms
  • Help track and report customer engagement and reputation metrics

Customer Service & Consumer Engagement
  • Support the customer service team with responding to customer inquiries and feedback
  • Address customer concerns in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, feedback, and resolutions via our customer management system
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Operations, Marketing, and Technical Support to assist in resolving customer concerns
  • Help enhance the overall customer experience through proactive communication and support
  • Analyzing customer management system data to identify and address customer concerns earlier to improve overall customer experience.

Content Management & Digital Marketing
  • Assist the Marketing Specialist with managing and updating content across digital media platforms
  • Support execution of the promotional calendar and ensure accurate advertising placement across internal and external marketing channels
  • Assist with content updates and communications for the Retail Media Network (RMN), including in-store music, digital screens, messaging, and promotional communications
  • Support website content optimization efforts to improve customer engagement and search visibility
  • Assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Results Page (SERP) optimization initiatives to strengthen local search rankings and online presence
  • Support digital asset organization and marketing content distribution

Event Marketing & Community Engagement
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting charitable giving initiatives and community events, including the annual Fueling the Community Golf Tournament
  • Support promotional events, sponsorship activations, and brand engagement opportunities
  • Assist with event setup, logistics, and on-site marketing support
  • Provide event coverage support alongside the Social Media Coordinator
  • Assist with content creation for social media platforms, including photography, video, captions, and event recaps
  • Support marketing efforts related to university partnerships, including Georgia Southern filming opportunities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing concepts
  • Interest in SEO, digital advertising, and customer engagement strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new digital platforms

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in Savannah, GA

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Ability to travel locally for events, store visits, and community engagement opportunities as needed
