Job description

JOB DUTIES:
Perform traffic engineering operational and safety analyses for roadway corridors, intersections, and interchanges. Conduct capacity analysis using the Highway Capacity Manual methodology and traffic modeling software, including Synchro, SimTraffic, and VISSIM. Develop and evaluate traffic forecasts for existing and future year conditions. Analyze crash data to identify safety trends and recommend countermeasures. Prepare technical reports, figures, and tables summarizing operational performance metrics, such as Level of Service, volume-to-capacity ratios, vehicle delays, queue lengths, and travel times. Conduct field reviews to collect traffic data and validate existing conditions. Assist in development of conceptual improvement alternatives and evaluate operational effectiveness of proposed design modifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
