The Business Technology Intern provides support and assistance within an assigned department in BT while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This position works closely with team members on a variety of projects, tasks, and day-to-day operations. Work may be completed through phone, email, virtual collaboration tools, and occasional in-person interactions. Interns will have the opportunity to learn department processes, contribute to team initiatives, and develop valuable professional skills. Strong attention to detail, customer service, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to follow established procedures are important for success in this role.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Some education completed in pursuit of Information Technology, Comp Sci, Data Science, Computer engineering , Business Degree anything else related
Experience: No previous work experience is required. However, relevant coursework, academic projects, or prior internships related to construction or project management will be advantageous.
Travel: 5-15%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work Complexity:
    • Completes tasks assigned by the Business Technology Supervisor, following appropriate process and procedures. Research documented items to find potential solutions to incidents and service requests.
    • Log activities in appropriate service monitoring system.
  • Service Desk:
    • One point of contact the Business Technology Department can leverage to log requests or incidents
    • Responds to Level 1 support requests via multiple sources such as phone, system responses, chat or other method as assigned.
    • Enters or updates call information into the tracking system. Interacts with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Resolves customer call issues.
    • Escalates calls as appropriate.
  • Customer Technology Support:
    • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following documented procedures under the direction of a Service Desk employee.
    • Follows up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
