Summer Internship Opportunity: IT Help Desk Intern

Start Date: June 2026 (flexible) Duration: 10-12 weeks (summer) for 15-25 hours/week

Location: Hybrid (up to 2 days a week onsite) in West Lebanon NH

Internship Summary:
This position's primary focus is to support day to day information technology systems and user support for cases across the Tecnica Group North America organization while gaining hands on experience with IT support, systems admin and user services. This position is designed to provide exposure to a wide range of IT functions, with a primary focus on troubleshooting, device setup and supporting IT operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level support for help desk tickets, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of laptops (Windows and MacOS), mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Participate in small IT projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT hardware including desktop PCs, laptops (Windows and MacOS), servers, VOIP phones, printers, switches, routers, firewalls, and antivirus software.
• Supports the onboarding and offboarding of users. (account set-up, equipment preparation, access requests)
• Document solutions, processes and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge sharing.
• Helps to maintain inventory records of both hardware and software.
• Support basic network and connectivity troubleshooting under guidance
• Assist with installation and support of meeting room technology (A/V equipment, hybrid meeting tools)
• Basic repairs and replacement of equipment as necessary, escalating more complex technical issues to senior IT team members as needed
• Follow emergency plans for equipment, security or power failures when necessary.

• Exposure to M365, Active Directory and user account management

• Basics of networking, security and device management
Qualification Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in IT support and systems administration
• Working knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles and best practices.
• Attention to detail; ability to prioritize and meet goals.
• Patient, friendly demeanor with a great aptitude for listening
• Clear communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and ask for help when needed
• Experience in help desk support operations a plus!
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Preferred Interest and/or experience (not required)
• Working with Microsoft Office 365 setup and operations.
• Using scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, Python) to automate IT tasks
• With Cisco networking
• Operating Audio/Video equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Work activities may include climbing, bending, stooping, and kneeling – and may require sitting for long periods of time. Occasionally may be required to lift up to 60 lb. cartons and may require walking to and from the warehouse (approx. 500 yards). Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
