Their responsibilities typically include assisting with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletes. They also help with tasks like preparing equipment, taping, and maintaining records. This internship is designed to provide practical skills and exposure to the day-to-day operations of sports medicine and athletic training.

Familiarity with taping techniques, injury evaluation tools, and documentation systems is typically required. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail help interns support athletes and collaborate with coaches and medical staff.
