Familiarity with taping techniques, injury evaluation tools, and documentation systems is typically required. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail help interns support athletes and collaborate with coaches and medical staff. These skills are crucial for ensuring athlete safety, effective rehabilitation, and smooth team operations during training and competition.

What are Intern Student Athletic Trainers?

Intern Student Athletic Trainers are students, often in college or university athletic training programs, who gain hands-on experience by working under the supervision of certified athletic trainers. Their responsibilities typically include assisting with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletes. They also help with tasks like preparing equipment, taping, and maintaining records. This internship is designed to provide practical skills and exposure to the day-to-day operations of sports medicine and athletic training.

What types of hands-on experience can I expect as an Intern Student Athletic Trainer, and how closely will I work with certified staff?

As an Intern Student Athletic Trainer, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience by assisting with injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.
